It's hard to believe that we have been here for a week. Move day turned out to be fine and sunny both here and at Elanora. Very lucky indeed as rain had been forecast.
We needed to have a repack day to maximise our space and we aren't tripping over everything now. We have put shade cloth over the outdoor fenced area to provide shade for summer. Very happy with the job.
We used sail track to attach it to the side of the shed, stretched and rolled it onto a piece of lattice timber and attached to the fence.
We have made this a tight fit. The plan is to put a cat door through from the shed into this area, so that the cats are contained when we are away on day trips. It will give them access to the cooler outside area during the hotter months.
This will be a perfect place for raising vegetable seedlings and resting plants. We have managed to store all of our large pots and plants. We have the solar power watering system working well, so the plants will be automatically watered while we are travelling. We have hooked up the tanks to the main town water for any top ups that are needed. We will have our neighbours check the tank levels monthly and top up the tanks if we don't get the anticipated rain.
