Gas oven set up Sticky Date Muffins (pkt mix halved)
First try at baking using the gas ring as the heat source – made a German grain bread with extra seeds. Cooked it a little too long, but the texture is good. Will improve with the next one. The pizza turned out great, crunchy on the bottom with a bread dough above. Made Ham and Pineapple. Just a little practice in controlling the temperature and we should be okay. The thermometer is laying down next to the bread. The problem is you loose heat if you lift the lid and you have to lift the lid to check the temp. :(

Radjah Shelduck is also here, a little nervous to have a swim in the river though.
We met Eddy & Bev from Perth with their water spaniel Lenny yesterday. Eddy decided that it all good to swim in the water hole on the crossing. Sent Lenny in for a swim and nothing got him so it was safe. Based on that someone was swimming there, the campers with 5 children also went swimming and so did a lot of other people. The water course is huge, thanks no thanks.
Above right is the swimming hole, (it’s deep) about as long as two Olympic swimming pools, don’t know what is beyond that.
