Tuesday 20th January – 2015 - Fine Sunny Clear Blue Sky

What an absolute top day, very little wind, so we did a kayak down the King River from the camp.

There were no trees to dodge in the river, but there were very large rocks.

Left, a tree had toppled from the embankment and is still growing.  The branches on the underside have died but the branches on the upper side are now growing as individual main branches.

There was some very large rocks in farm land along the way.  Plenty of birdlife and lots of small fishing constantly jumping.

Not a great photo of a blue wren, but the only one I could get.  This wren also has russet red on the sides.

The wren was in this tea tree bush which was in full flower with hundreds of bees buzzing everywhere.

I thought you would like to see the outboard motor which powers the kayak.  -

19-21 Jan 2015 - Albany 050  These nearly fully grown ducklings just froze as we approached.  The mum or dad was on a branch nearby.   I was amazed at how long they stayed in that position, I don’t even think they blinked :)

The rocks again, on the way back.

After lunch, we went on a circuit drive and called into a woodwork display centre.  Very nice woodwork, but very expensive.  They had a nice sculpture of Ned Kelly in the yard.

We had wanted to see the Blueberry Farm – but they were closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

We should have checked, so we were not meant to visit the farm.

We then headed out to Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve and Little Beach.  Simply stunning scenery.

Beautiful but very smelly – just like sewerage, so lucky we don’t have smell internet.  It was probably the sea grass.

The whitest of white sand – what a spot.  There was no smell nor sea grass at Little Beach.

The silver gull is on the left and on the right are the much larger pacific gulls – with their badly applied lipstick lips.
